Land Acknowledgement
The team at Goodapplewellness recognizes that we work and live on unceded territory formerly known as Lenape Land, and we respect and honor those caretakers of this
land, from time immemorial until now, and into the future. Many place names in Pennsylvania are derived from the Lenape Language, such as Manayunk, Conshohocken, and Neshaminy.
We recognize the Lenape Indian tribe as the original inhabitants of Eastern Pennsylvania and acknowledge the Lenape people as the indigenous stewards of their homelands and the spiritual keepers of
the Lenape Sippu, the River of Human Beings or the Delaware river.
As part of this we acknowledge the histories of exclusion and erasure that have affected Lenape and Indigenous nations across North America since colonization. We are not the original inhabitants of
this land and are mindful of our place as current stewards in relation to all who have gone before us and who will follow. One way to honor the Lenape people is to take a moment to learn about Lenape
at their cultural heritage center or their website: https://www.lenape-nation.org/
